Now in Hawaii, in house on edge of sea near Hilo, in Kapoho. Arrived Tuesday and settled in, unpacking suitcase for the first time since August. So last night (Thursday) following tsunami alert, repacked and drove to higher ground! Just got back and no tsunami here – at least, if there was one we can’t see any damage. Now unpacking again.
So far we have avoided volcanoes in Indonesia, floods in Australia, earthquakes in New Zealand, all with no disruption. It takes an earthquake thousands of miles away to discombobulate us!
